LexRent is an in-house production by edesigns – a complete end-to-end AI system that helps tenants in Switzerland not only analyze potential rent reductions but actually enforce them legally. Based on Art. 270a OR and Swiss tenancy law regulations.
The Problem
Swiss tenancy law grants tenants the right to request rent reductions under certain conditions – such as when the reference interest rate drops. However, the complex legal framework and calculation rules make it nearly impossible for ordinary tenants to enforce their rights on their own. Many tenants don't even know they have a claim, forfeiting hundreds or even thousands of francs per year.
The Solution
We developed a complete AI system powered by OpenAI that analyzes rental contracts using OCR technology. The software reviews all relevant legal provisions and calculation factors. What makes LexRent special: it doesn't just deliver an analysis – it automatically generates a legally sound letter to the property management, complete with all relevant arguments. Tenants can enforce their rent reduction with just a few clicks. And the best part: the service is completely free.
